Summary
This is a new position created to support project, IMPACT. Based within the Operations and Production department, the role is to manufacture, assemble and repair precision tools, components, sub-assemblies, and medical devices used by healthcare professionals to prevent and diagnose medical conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Follow complex blueprints, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to safely build mechanical and electrical components.
· Build mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies and wire components (soldering) according to technical engineering drawings and diagrams.
· Perform in-process visual inspection and troubleshoot defective products to ensure 100% compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.
· Perform electrical safety testing on assembled Medical Devices following Quality Control Instructions to ensure the safety of our products.
· Record accurate batch data, manage inventory tracking and log assembly metrics into Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP).
· Perform installation of our bespoke software onto assembled Medical Devices.
· Document all aspects of the manufacturing processes in a clear and concise manner in line with Hart Biologicals eQMS.
· Liaise with other departments during manufacturing, for inter-departmental tasks needed.
· Ensure all equipment maintenance schedules are in date and calibrated as necessary, in collaboration with engineering & maintenance teams.
· Observe confidentiality at all times.
· Contribute to a positive environment within the operations/production team.
· Implement and maintain good housekeeping.
· Work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
· Adhere and maintain Health and Safety / COSHH requirements.
· Use all issued PPE equipment as required.
· Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by the management team.
Qualifications/Experience
There are no specific academic or professional minimum qualification criteria for the role - the following must be observed and achieved:
● Practical experience in electro-mechanical or precision assembly role
● High level of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
● Ability to read schematics and use technical equipment
● High-level of attention to detail.
● Preferable GCES passes in core subjects (Math / English / science) or NVQ level 3 or above.
