Junior Estimator / Buyer

We’re seeking a proactive, Junior Estimator /Buyer to join our Purchasing Team. This role involves supporting sales through accurate job estimating, Based in Fordingbridge, you’ll report directly to the UK Purchasing Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of parts across our supply chain. Full training and support will be provided to help you build your skills and grow your career.
Key duties
· Analyse drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
· Work closely with project managers, sales department, engineers to gather all necessary information for informed estimating
· Support negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
· Raise purchase orders and manage delivery schedules to meet production plans
· Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages or delays
What we’re looking for
· Interest in developing a purchasing/estimating career
· Strong commitment to achieving deadlines
· Good maths, IT and communication skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
· Proactive, organised and eager to learn
· Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential

· Competitive salary: Up to £30k, depending on skills and experience
· Working hours : 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times.
· Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing annually to a maximum of 30 days
