Full job description

We are looking for a Play Worker for our brand new Breakfast club & After School Club opening in September based in Ormiston Meadows Academy.

At Simply Out of School we are looking for a fun, friendly, hardworking and reliable member of staff who would like to work in our breakfast club & after school club.

Breakfast Club
Monday - Friday (Term time only)
7.30am - 9.00am

After School Club
Monday - Friday (Term time only)
3.00pm - 5.45pm

Job Description for Play Worker:

*Assisting with the day-to-day running of the breakfast & after school Club, including setting up and clearing up.

* Preparing snack in line with club’s Healthy Eating Policy.

* Supervising play opportunities with children.

* Contributing towards planning and preparation of craft activities and assisting children with these.

Qualifications:

A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Playwork or CCLD is desirable

Must be willing to undergo a Play works qualification.

Current First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Certificates is an advantage.

Experience: Playwork / childcare experience with children aged 3 – 11 years is an advantage.

The successful candidates will be a lively, enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is able to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative. They must be able to get on well with, and respect all children and adults, must be prepared to ‘muck-in’ with all tasks and must have a good understanding of safety awareness and risk assessment. They must be willing to undergo relevant initial and on-going training and DBS checks.

Must complete an application form prior to interview with a full employment history.
Two references will be required at interview stage.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.71 per hour
