Job Overview
To establish, manage and grow Venture Security Management’s training function, Venture Training and Consultancy (VTAC), by building robust systems, processes and commercial capability that enable the delivery of high‑quality in‑person and online training. The role is accountable for operational readiness, quality, compliance, commercial performance and learner experience, ensuring the training centre is sustainable, scalable and aligned with UK security industry standards.
The post holder will be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and will work collaboratively across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Development & Enablement
- Support, facilitate and coordinate the development of accredited and non‑accredited training programmes (rather than acting as a primary trainer).
- Ensure training provision aligns with:
- Security industry expectations
- Awarding body requirements
- Venture’s commercial and strategic objectives
- Maintain oversight of curriculum structure, learning pathways and progression.
- Ensure online and blended learning provision is effectively integrated.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Act as Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) / Internal Verifier (or hold accountability for this function).
- Ensure full compliance with awarding body, regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Monitor:
- Assessment and verification activity
- Learner outcomes and certification
- Audit readiness and corrective actions
- Lead continuous improvement activity across all training provision.
3. Trainer Network Management
- Identify, recruit, onboard and manage a pool of associate and sessional trainers.
- Ensure trainers are appropriately qualified, inducted and supported.
- Monitor trainer performance, quality of delivery and learner feedback.
- Plan trainer capacity in line with forecast demand.
4. Operations, Systems & Logistics
- Design, implement and continuously improve systems and processes to optimise the training centre.
- Manage:
- Course scheduling (classroom and online)
- Training facilities, equipment and materials
- Course bookings and learner communications
- Oversee administrative processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy and scalability.
- Arrange examinations and invigilation where required.
- Optimise utilisation of the training centre, including:
- Sub‑letting to external providers
- Evening and weekend use for training and meeting space
5. Commercial & Marketing Contribution
- Work closely with marketing and SMT colleagues to promote VTAC offerings.
- Contribute to:
- Course pricing strategy
- Product packaging and market positioning
- Commercial decision‑making
- Monitor course uptake, margins and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for product expansion, partnerships and new revenue streams.
6. Learner Experience & Feedback
- Own the end‑to‑end learner journey from enquiry to certification.
- Monitor and analyse delegate feedback and performance data.
- Lead improvements to learner engagement, satisfaction and outcomes.
- Ensure VTAC is recognised for professionalism, quality and value.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Management qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. CIPD, business management).
- Experience setting up or scaling a training function or centre.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Marketing or business development exposure.
- Assessor and/or verifier qualifications.
- Experience managing training facilities or multi‑use venues.

Pay: £39,000.00 per year
