Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Print Production Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our print manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a keen eye for quality assurance. This role involves coordinating production processes, managing team members, and ensuring that all print projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. A background in mechanical knowledge, fabrication, and warehouse experience will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the print production team to meet daily targets and quality standards.
- Coordinate workflow and allocate tasks effectively across team members.
- Operate and maintain various printing equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and sewing equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Oversee the handling of materials, including heavy lifting and warehouse logistics.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times within the workspace.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and tools to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Assist in training new team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with management to improve production processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in print production or related manufacturing environments.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot printing machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, sewing equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience working in a warehouse setting with knowledge of inventory management.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling of materials.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Previous experience in assembly work is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
