Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced 360 Excavator Driver to operate on roads and sewers projects, with a strong focus on deep drainage works. The role involves working as part of a gang to deliver high-quality deep drainage installations safely, efficiently, and to specification. Must have own transport to get to from work. Experience working in rock is preferable on a 40t excavator.

Duties

Operate 21T–40T excavators for deep drainage and infrastructure works
Excavate trenches to line and level using laser equipment and drawings
Install drainage runs including bedding, pipe laying, and surround
Work safely with trench boxes, shoring systems, and within confined excavations
Support manhole construction, benching, and chamber installs
Maintain production while ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
Carry out daily plant checks and basic maintenance

Skills

Valid CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator ticket
Proven experience in roads & sewers / deep drainage / topworks
Ability to read drawings and work to levels with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of safe excavation practices and trench support systems
Reliable, safety-conscious, and production-driven
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and supervisors. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of working safely and efficiently in demanding environments, contributing to the successful completion of projects while adhering to all safety standards.

Advantageous

Experience working on S38/S104 adoptable works
Experience working in Rock
30t+ Excavators
