Following the retirement of our Chief Nurse, we are seeking an exceptional and accomplished leader. The successful candidate will be an existing Chief Nurse or an experienced Deputy Chief Nurse from a comparable organisation, ready to lead nursing and Allied Health Professionals across our organisation and its distinctive model of care.
As Chief Nurse and Executive Director at one of the UK’s leading cancer centres, the post holder will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Trust’s nursing and AHP strategy, driving quality, efficiency, and sustainable improvement in clinical services and patient experience.
As a key member of the Executive Team, this is an opportunity to build on the excellent work that underpins our success. You will bring credibility, presence, and ambition, inspiring confidence and influencing colleagues at every level. You will quickly build trusted relationships with staff, patients, partners, regulators, and communities, champion our values, and foster behaviours that keep patients at the centre of everything we do. As a visible and inclusive leader, you will empower our nursing and AHP workforce, uphold professional standards, and drive continuous improvement.
You will bring a strong track record in workforce development and service improvement, with the ability to drive high performance, hold others to account, build cohesive teams, and inspire excellence.
A passion for excellent patient care, together with a strong commitment to population health, inclusion, and reducing health and race inequalities, will be essential.
Resilience and determination will be important in navigating challenges and making a positive, lasting difference.
