Personal Assistant for lady in PE14 - 31 hours per week (split between 2 PAs) @ £15 p/h

Job Purpose:
I am looking for two friendly and reliable Personal Assistants to support me both at home and in the community. The role involves supporting me to access the community twice a week, including attending the library, medical appointments, shopping, and swimming. You will also be required to drive my car when I am fatigued.

Within my home, I require support with personal care when I am feeling fatigued, including applying cream and assistance with dressing. You will also support me with exercises, as well as light household tasks, including batch cooking with me and taking over cooking when I become fatigued.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play an important part in helping me to maintain my independence. The position is offered on a job share basis, with two Personal Assistants working together to provide consistent support and cover for sickness and annual leave. Support is required each morning, 7 days a week, as well as additional hours to support access to the community.

Person Specification:

Full UK driving licence

Summary terms and conditions:

The rate of pay for this position is £15 per hour
You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role
Hours and days of work: 31 hours per week, offered on a job share basis, hours split between two PAs.
- This includes 21 hours per week for 3 hours each morning, 7 days a week
- 10 hours per week to support access to the community
The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
Should this job role include any of the following duties: food preparation, moving & handling, chemical handling (general household cleaning products) or the handling of medication, you will be required to undertake mandatory training.

The post is subject to the following:

A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
