Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team working a minimum of 3 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance and functionality of outdoor spaces across various sites, specifically at Supported Living Units across Essex/Suffolk/North London.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for gardening and outdoor maintenance to develop their skills within a professional environment. Prior experience is advantageous, but training will be provided where necessary.
Duties
- Routine tasks include grass cutting, strimming, litter collection, leaf clearance, hedge and shrub pruning.
- Operate a variety of power tools and hand tools such as trimmers, hedge cutters safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in ground maintenance or gardening is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools is beneficial.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A full UK valid driver’s licence is desirable
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract
Pay: £110.00-£130.00 per day
