We’re a specialist fire protection company focused on passive fire safety, including fire doors and fire stopping. We're currently looking for an experienced carpenter to join our growing team, supporting our fire door projects across London and the Home Counties.
About the Role:
You’ll primarily be working on fire door remedial works and new fire door/set installations. We also produce bespoke fire door assemblies and fire-rated enclosures in our workshop, which are then installed on-site. From time to time, other tasks may include fire-rated stud partitions and boxing in.
You’ll be expected to log all works through our company app, so basic digital skills are important.
While most of the role will focus on fire doors, there will be elements of fire stopping, for which we will provide full training. We’re looking for someone open to learning, with a proactive mindset and a willingness to develop new skills.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in carpentry or general building/multi-trade roles
- Experience with fire doors is highly desirable
- Willingness to learn fire stopping techniques (training provided)
- Good communication skills – you’ll be liaising with clients and site staff regularly
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Own tools and van essential
- Must be located near our Billericay office, Basildon from July (you’ll report in most mornings to collect materials)
