Night Porter

Front of House - Fowey Hall Hotel

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £13.28 per hour plus generous service charge and great benefits

Fowey Hall Hotel, nestled on the picturesque coastline of Cornwall, is a luxury family-friendly hotel renowned for its stunning views, exceptional service, and historical charm. With a commitment to providing an unforgettable experience for our guests, we are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our team.

Role overview:

As a Night Porter at Fowey Hall Hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night hours. This position requires a responsible and proactive individual who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of service and security for our guests.

This is a permanent position at 32 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £13.28 per hour, plus generous service charge.

Key Responsibilities:

â¯Oversee the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise: ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of all our lovely guests.
Guest Assistance: Provide assistance to guests during the night, including check-ins, handling guest enquiries, and ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
Maintaining the brand standards of our reception and public areas:â¯keeping areas tidy and presentable.
Work as part of a motivated team:â¯this is a hands-on role managing the guest experience, giving concierge service.
An understanding of health and safety:â¯as well as the ability to keep calm in challenging circumstances

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality background is preferred.
An engaging personality, with a passion for hospitality who can provide great service to our guests.
The ability to interact and engage with all guests including children.
Problem solvers - a person who can answer guest questions and looks for solutions, with the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
Basic computer skills and accurate numeracy- along with honesty and good judgements.
Availability to work night shifts and weekends.
