Job Summary
Fencing Subcontrators / Sole Traders required.
We are seeking dedicated fencing subcontractors/ sole traders to join our family run Fencing company based in Wolverhampton to work on sites in the West Midlands/ Staffordshire/ Shropshire areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing fencing across various sites Prior experience in construction-related trades will be advantageous, and a proactive attitude is essential to ensure high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Measure and mark out fence lines according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to install fence panels, posts, and gates
- Dig post holes using appropriate equipment, ensuring stability and alignment
- Assemble fencing components with precision, ensuring secure fittings
- Collaborate with site managers and team members to complete projects within designated timeframes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections of installed fences for quality assurance and durability
- Must have there own vehicle & tools.
Skills
- Must have experience in installing various types of fencing from timber/concrete and steel Mesh Systems.
- Familiarity with working on a construction site.
- Proficient in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, levels, and measuring tapes
- Skilled in operating power tools including drills, saws, post drivers, and grinders
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as digging, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights if necessary
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards
Training & Certificates
- CSCS card would be an advantage.
- Asbestos awareness/ Face fit, Manual handling would be an advantage.
- DBS would also be an advantage.
- Training on all the above can be offered.
