Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Operative professional to join our team. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our Supported Living Facilities and office space through a variety of maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be skilled in carrying out a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks, take pride in delivering high-quality work, and be able to work independently while effectively managing their time.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace faulty electrical components, including wiring, switches, and fixtures, adhering to safety standards.
- Perform mechanical repairs involving machinery, conveyors, or other operational equipment.
- Complete painting works, including filling, sanding, and finishing surfaces to a high standard.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to urgent repair requests to minimise downtime.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment or infrastructure upgrades as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing clients' needs, both internal and external, professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance roles with knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Strong electrical experience, including wiring, circuit analysis, and component replacement.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair and preventive maintenance.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
