Site Based Technician
Bicester
40 Hours per week
Dalkia is seeking a Site Based Technician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance works to a high standard while ensuring compliance with company procedures, health and safety regulations, and client requirements. The role involves a wide range of building fabric and maintenance tasks, supporting site operations, and delivering excellent customer service across all activities.
Key Responsibilities

Observe and promote high standards of health and safety at all times.

Participate in Health & Safety Codes of Safe Working and other Environmental issues to ensure total compliance with both the client and Dalkia Health, Safety and Environmental Policy. Report any risks that might compromise a Safe Working Environment

Receive electronically PPM instructions from the CAFM system and undertake all maintenance tasks in accordance with these instructions.

Ensure all maintenance consumables are available and arrange replenishment of all items to ensure agreed stock levels are established.

Carry out general maintenance and good housekeeping practices and plant room cleaning to ensure that the life expectancy of all installed equipment is maximized.

If appropriate report on the performance of any sub-contracted works.

Attend to all reasonable emergency call-out requests as speedily as possible and maintain good communications with the Client with the progress of all outstanding works

Complete as and when necessary, any breakdowns.

Ensure plant areas Dalkia are responsible for are always clean and tidy

Respond to client's requests promptly.

Maintain all site records and logbooks.
-
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards.

Complete maintenance activities both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.

Undertake minor maintenance and repair tasks without direct supervision.

Carry out a range of building fabric repairs works.
-
Follow all company procedures, site protocols, and quality management processes.
Perform general maintenance duties including:

General daily walk around to proactively check on any defects
-
Minor roof patch repairs
-
Furniture moving and setup
-
Weekly Tap temperature flushing
-
Monthly Tap temperature Monitoring
-
Monthly Emergency lighting testing
-
Weekly fire alarm testing
-
Repair/Painting and decorating
-
Repair/Plastering and tiling
-
Escort and monitor Dalkia subcontractors on site.
-
Replenish local site stock and that any critical spares are available on site.

Ensure appropriate waste management and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Essential Requirements:
-
Multi-skilled individual with experience carrying out minor repairs across multiple trades.

Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
-
Good knowledge of safe working practices and site safety regulations.

Full UK driving licence.

Enhanced DBS

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.

Attention to detail

Proactive, Highly motivated, and reliable approach to work.

Qualification in Health and Safety (IOSH or similar) if possible.
Desirable Skills & Experience
-
Experience in building service maintenance.

Basic Mechanical Knowledge

Basic knowledge in A/C Systems
-
Basic I.T skills as tablet will be supplied for Health and Safety reporting, Timesheets PPM's, and Reactive works
