JCA Sport sits within the Experience Education group which is one of the UK's leading school travel groups, delivering educational and sporting tours, expeditions and residential programmes for thousands of young people every year. Based at Condover Hall, a purpose-built residential venue in Shropshire,JCA Sport delivers residential sports weekends and tournaments for schools and clubs across the UK, with netball at the absolute core of the product alongside football and rugby.
Our weekends combine competitive sport, excellent facilities and memorable experiences, giving young people the opportunity to develop their skills, compete against their peers and represent their school in a well-organised, professional environment. We are at an exciting stage of growth. This newly created role represents a significant investment in bringing our operational model fully in-house and places a dedicated, passionate sports professional at the heart of our event delivery at Condover Hall
The role
The JCA Sport Operations Coordinator is a pivotal new position combining event delivery, administration and operational coordination. This is a varied role that combines detailed planning with hands-on event delivery at Condover Hall. In the lead-up to our sports weekends, you'll create fixtures, coordinate officials, manage communications and prepare event information.
During events, you'll oversee fixture management through our tournament software, update results and help ensure competitions run smoothly. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week based at Condover Hall and two days working from home, operating on a 5-days-in-7 contract that reflects the weekend-intensive nature of the JCA Sport programme. A minimum commitment of 17 weekends per year is required, covering the full JCA Sport netball, football and rugby calendar.
You'll be the main point of contact for teachers, coaches and officials, building positive relationships and delivering excellent customer service throughout the event journey. Working closely with lead officials and the Condover Hall Duty Manager, you'll help make key operational decisions and ensure weekends run safely, efficiently and successfully. This is as much a desk role as it is a delivery role.
Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential, but so too is the confidence to become the professional, energetic face of JCA Sport on event weekends. We're looking for someone who is proactive, enjoys working with people, takes ownership and remains calm under pressure when things don't go to plan. We are at an exciting stage of growth.
While our current programme is predominantly focused on netball, we are investing in the continued growth of our football events and launching our rugby programme in 2027, with opportunities to expand into additional sports in the future.
A passion for sport is important, but we're equally interested in someone who can deliver outstanding customer experiences and take ownership of successful tournament weekends. Beyond event delivery, you'll play an important role in growing the JCA Sport brand, acting as a key link between our sales, administration, marketing and operations teams.
