We are seeking a versatile and skilled Multi Skilled Operative to join our team. This role involves working across various trades and disciplines to support construction, maintenance, and refurbishment projects. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills, be adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in a safe and efficient manner. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with diverse trade experience to contribute to dynamic projects within the construction and maintenance sectors.
Duties
- Carry out carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing work with precision.
- Perform roofing activities such as repairs, installations, and inspections to ensure structural integrity.
- Execute construction painting, including surface preparation and applying protective or decorative coatings.
- Conduct plumbing work, including installation, repairs, and maintenance of water systems.
- Undertake masonry tasks such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete work.
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication and repair purposes in accordance with safety standards.
- Apply electrical experience for basic wiring, fitting fixtures, or assisting licensed electricians.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Support fabrication activities by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials as required.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers, chisels.
- Competence in operating power tools including drills, grinders, saws.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes and techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients professionally.
- Flexibility to adapt to different trades and project requirements.
- Commitment to health & safety standards with a keen eye for detail during all operations.
