We are recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Technician who is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and facilities operations across our sites in Portsmouth, ensuring buildings, equipment and services are maintained to a high standard.

Role:
You will be part of the Site Services team, working closely with the Site Services Manager to support both reactive and preventative maintenance activities across multiple local sites:
- Coordinate facilities management activities across Harwin UK sites
- Monitor facility and equipment condition, performance, and maintenance requirements
- Carry out building and equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance tasks
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete first-fix repairs where possible
- Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and effectively
- Support new machine installations and decommissioning projects
- Undertake data connection and electrical duties as required
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, responding to alarms, emergencies, and maintenance requirements when necessary
- Support continuous improvement of site services and facilities management processes
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will be a practical and flexible individual with strong maintenance and facilities experience:
- Demonstrable experience within general building maintenance, facilities management, or a facilities technician role
- Experience with electrical installations, equipment installation, and decommissioning activities
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and external contractors
- Flexible approach to work with willingness to participate in an on-call rota
- Proactive, hands-on attitude with a strong focus on health and safety
