Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Warehouse Workers to join our loading team.

These roles are with our afternoon shift and the hours are Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm.

The successful candidates will be responsible for handling materials, managing stock, and supporting shipping and receiving operations within a busy warehouse environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge, contributing to the efficient flow of goods and materials. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with previous warehouse experience or those eager to learn.

Responsibilities

Performing heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively
Moving HGVs in and out of the warehouse (shunting training will be given)
Handling materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse
Preparing orders through picking and packing items accurately for shipment
Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
Assisting with shipping and receiving procedures, including documentation and labelling
Supporting general warehouse maintenance to maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

Full Driving Licence would be big advantage.
Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of materials handling, stock management, and shipping & receiving processes
Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment such as forklifts
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and load & unload tasks regularly
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for picking & packing accuracy
Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to warehousing operations
