Studio Assistant - Pottery Painting Studio
Glazey
Are you friendly, hardworking and love being part of a busy, customer-focused environment? We’re looking for a Studio Assistant to join our team at Glazey, with the opportunity to grow into a more senior role for the right person.
This is not a job where you’ll spend the day painting pottery. While we are a pottery painting studio, our priority is creating an amazing experience for our customers, and that means keeping the studio running smoothly behind the scenes.
Our customers visit us to celebrate birthdays, make memories with family and friends, relax, and get creative. Every day is different, and you’ll meet lots of fantastic people. We need someone who enjoys working with the public and takes pride in keeping everything running efficiently.
Your duties will include:
- Welcoming and assisting customers.
- Explaining the pottery painting process.
- Keeping the studio clean, organised and presentable at all times.
- Washing brushes, cleaning tables and equipment.
- Restocking shelves and preparing pottery.
- Packing and preparing orders.
- Helping with opening and closing duties.
- Supporting the team during busy periods.
This role is for you if you:
- Have a strong work ethic and don’t mind getting stuck into cleaning and tidying.
- Can stay busy without needing constant direction.
- Enjoy working with people of all ages.
- Are reliable, punctual and take pride in doing every job well, even the less glamorous ones.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This role isn’t for you if:
- You need to be told what to do every step of the day.
- You struggle to use your own initiative or notice when something needs doing.
- You prefer to wait until someone gives you a task rather than keeping yourself busy.
- You aren’t prepared to help with cleaning, tidying and maintaining the studio throughout your shift.
There may occasionally be opportunities to paint samples or help with displays, but these are secondary to your main responsibilities.
In return, you’ll become part of a friendly, supportive team where hard work is recognised. For someone who shows initiative, reliability and a positive attitude, there are genuine opportunities to progress and take on more responsibility within the business.
If you’re someone who enjoys working hard, loves meeting people and wants to be part of creating memorable experiences for our customers, we’d love to hear from you.
