Essential Skills & Qualifications
Appropriate qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering, e.g. HND, HNC.
️ Experience of working on projects delivering multidisciplinary design solutions, predominantly on brownfield sites and asset care.
Understanding of project delivery across all design stages (concept, front-end design through to project close-out).
Ability to support other Designers within the CS&A Design team.
Knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes for reinforced concrete, steel and masonry.
- ️ Sound working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation.
Experience operating within highly regulated environments such as Nuclear, Rail, Bridge Construction, Offshore, Petrochemical, etc.
Extensive AutoCAD, Revit and/or Civil 3D experience.
- ️ Experience delivering projects to challenging deadlines, adopting a pragmatic and flexible approach.
✏️ Excellent detailing skills.
- ️ Knowledge of Nuclear industry/SL standards and the ability to translate requirements into AutoCAD drawings.
Familiarity with SL/Axiom processes and Document Management Systems.
Ability to work on own initiative.
️ Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Experience using Revit for steel-framed structures, building alterations and refurbishment projects.
Knowledge of the Sellafield Enterprise Management System (SEMS).
️ Experience in civil/structural safety design.
Experience working within Joint Venture integrated design teams.
Experience being seconded into Client integrated design teams.
