Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on various types of buildings. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of specialised skills, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship. Applicants should possess a strong understanding of roofing techniques and safety standards, with experience in construction-related tasks. Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal sheets to facilitate installation or repairs
Utilise carpentry and masonry skills for framing or structural support as required
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or defects in roofing structures
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Collaborate with team members and clients to complete projects within deadlines and specifications
Assist with the preparation of surfaces through cleaning or minor repairs prior to roofing work

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with safety standards
Strong understanding of roofing materials including shingles, tiles, metal sheeting, or membranes
Experience working with plumbing or masonry is advantageous but not essential
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
Physical fitness to work at heights and perform strenuous tasks over extended periods
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are preferred but not mandatory
