Full job description

Seeking Experienced Thermal Insulation to be involved with long term projects on all sectors including Nuclear Industry.

Rates in accordance with TICI + National Agreement & NAECI

25 days paid holiday + 8 statutory days holiday

Job Purpose: As a Thermal Insulation Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out insulation duties and tasks competently and safely in accordance with training, skills and the specification as instructed by a Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Installation, maintenance, and repairs to thermal insulation on pipework, ductwork, and other mechanical systems
Stripping and refitting insulation materials
Measuring, fabrication and installation of cladding to specifications of system designers and/or product manufacturers
Inspection and assessment of insulation needs for various systems
Work to insulation standards and specifications
Work in accordance with health and safety regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and best practice techniques
To have available, and take care of all PPE, RPE and PPC issued by the company
Safe use of hand tools, including knives, drills, handsaws, screwdrivers
Safe operation of fabrication machines, including guillotine, lockformer and manual folders.
Adherence to safe systems of work, including risk assessments and method statements
Completion of Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA)
Safe use of access equipment, including stepladders, MEWPs and mobile scaffolding
Assume health and safety responsibility for self and others, working in accordance with company policies and procedures
Demonstrate positive behaviours associated with all aspects of health, safety, environmental and quality
Completion of all training requirements and participation in professional development opportunities
Deputise in the absence of a Supervisor
Maintain cleanliness of provided company vehicle and welfare facilities
Support the Company in their endeavours to comply with all legislative obligations and to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
Additionally, you are expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.
