THE ROLE
We are looking for an Occupational Health Technician to join our in-house Occupational Health team, reporting to the Occupational Health Manager.
You will conduct health surveillance and fitness for role medicals (Hot work and Driver) as identified by risk assessment including undertaking Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision, Skin and night worker assessments. You will manage the medical appointment schedule in line with your own availability. Responsibilities will also include pre-employment medicals including drug testing, health & wellbeing activities ie health promotion, toolbox talks or demonstrations.
In addition, you will maintain electronic OH data, providing statistics and will support the Occupational Health Manager in developing and improving operational processes. You will be responsible for ordering stock, checking and maintaining screening equipment and maintaining the clinical environment.
You will be based across 2 sites in St Helens and one in Ormskirk with occasional travel to 5 UK Branches.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Previous Occupational health experience inc. health surveillance and/or fitness for work medical, but training will be provided if required

Hold full UK driving licence

Able to complete overnight stays and travel across the UK for site visits

Competent IT user

Be able to work autonomously with the support of the OH, HR and EHS teams
