Full job description

This is a great opportunity to be part of the amazing team at North Laine Hair Company, one of Brighton and Hove’s most highly regarded and trusted hair salons.

You will learn how we create our stunning balayage results, seamless colour blends and be supported to develop in your particular area of expertise. Our appointments are tailored to each client (so no rushing) and we only single book colour appointments so you have time available during your colour development to be able to achieve that perfect result.

If you would like to work in an open supportive environment that is focussed on continual development, with a strong training and education programme given by some of the best educators available, then we have the right position for you!

We are looking to recruit a creative and passionate stylist who works to the highest professional standards and has shown a commitment to their continual career development. The salon was established in 2007 and over this time has become firmly established as the leading independent family owned and run salon in Brighton.

You will also benefit from working in a very busy salon that guarantees you will be busy straight away.

We have a great deal to offer stylists who are serious about building a great, well paid, long term career and we are confident we offer the best combination of pay and conditions, education, development and team environment available.

We believe in looking after the team that power the salon! You will be quickly fully booked but you have time to rest during colour development in our large staff area with kitchenette & bathroom.

This position would suit a highly motivated and positive stylist who wants to be a member of a great, friendly, team and have the opportunity to develop their career. If you have a great passion for your work, a talent for providing the best client care, are dedicated, open to learning and educating then we would love to hear from you.

Technical skills

We are seeking a stylist with great experience and skills in the following:

Styling & cutting
Freehand lightening techniques
Colour correction

Conditions & benefits

The position is full time (around 35 hours per week) and we offer a generous total package consisting of a fixed salary plus commission with 28 days of paid holiday

The position requires the applicant to work five days a week
