Were known for quality products and excellent customer service and are part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG) the largest independent merchant group in the South of England.

Due to continued growth and success, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Branch Manager to join our team at our Parkers Worthing Branch

The Role

As Assistant Branch Manager, youll play a key role in the daytoday management of the branch. Working closely with the Branch Manager, youll help lead the team, improve customer experience, and drive sales and profitability while ensuring smooth and efficient branch operations.

This is a handson role that combines leadership, customer service, sales, and operational responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting customers at the trade counter and over the phone
Assisting with loading and general branch support when required
Working alongside the Branch Manager on branch development and customer service
Supervising and motivating a team of colleagues
Supporting and delivering the branch sales plan
Managing stock replenishment and maintaining appropriate stock levels
Ensuring safe, efficient daily operations and H&S compliance
Ensuring the best possible customer experience at all times
Providing cover for the Branch Manager when required
Carrying out additional duties as required to support the branch

Experience in a similar supervisory or management role
Strong customerfocused mindset
Excellent organisation and administration skills
Confident communicator at all levels
Strong sales awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
Approachable, professional, and teamfocused leadership style
Working Hours
