ABOUT ELMORE COURT
Elmore Court is an independent estate on the banks of the River Severn in Gloucestershire — a place where sustainability, music, nature and human connection shape everything we do. We host weddings, corporate events, team building days, private celebrations, film productions and more. It is a genuinely special venue, and we are looking for someone equally special to help us share it with the world.
THE ROLE
This is an opportunity to be the calm, organised presence that brings every wedding and event at Elmore Court together. You will conduct show-round viewings, assist with sales enquiry follow-ups, and become each client’s trusted point of contact from first enquiry through to the day itself. Your main role is to coordinate each event with the wider Estate team, liaising closely with Food and Beverage, Kitchens, Gardens and Grounds, Housekeeping, Maintenance and beyond, so that every detail comes together seamlessly and the client’s needs are met throughout.
SALES SUPPORT
– Conduct show-round viewings for prospective clients.
– Assist the Head of Sales & Marketing with enquiry follow-ups.
EVENT COORDINATION
– Own the full journey from initial enquiry through to the day of the event, coordinating each element with the relevant department.
– Manage ongoing correspondence with clients by phone and email, providing advice and support in a warm, friendly way.
– Build genuine relationships with clients and event planners so that, by the event, they feel completely comfortable and confident with the team.
– Act as the main point of liaison between the client and every department delivering the event — Food and Beverage, Kitchens, Gardens and Grounds, Housekeeping, Maintenance and the wider Estate team — making sure everyone has what they need, when they need it.
ADMINISTRATION
– Respond promptly to emails and manage day-to-day tasks and to-do lists.
– Follow up proactively with clients throughout their planning process.
– Independently manage your own portfolio of weddings and events, with support and oversight from the wider team.
ON THE DAY
– Coordinate the day with confidence: keeping to schedule, liaising closely with each department, and troubleshooting on the fly.
– Ensure the client’s needs and requests are met throughout the day, acting as their advocate with each department.
– Meet and greet guests and suppliers, presenting yourself professionally and warmly so guests feel like part of the family.
– Apply a sharp eye for detail — from straight tablecloths to properly placed glassware — so everything looks exactly right.
– Get stuck in wherever needed, whether that’s helping in the bridal suite, moving furniture, clearing confetti or helping with décor set up.
TEAM
– Fit well into a close-knit, high-performing team, bringing ideas and fresh approaches.
– Support an open, improvement-minded culture where new ways of working are always welcome.
WHO YOU ARE
– Previous event management experience in weddings and events, so you can hit the ground running.
– Confident and personable meeting new people, comfortable conducting show-round viewings and explaining what Elmore Court offers.
– Highly organised, with strong administrative skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
– Comfortable liaising across multiple departments and building good working relationships with colleagues at every level.
– An excellent eye for detail.
– A hands-on, muck-in attitude — happy to help with anything an event day requires.
– A strong team player who brings ideas and energy to the group.
– Genuine passion for weddings and events, with the resilience for long, sometimes emotionally intense days.
– Desirable: experience working within a multi-department venue or estate environment (e.g. food and beverage, housekeeping, grounds).
– Desirable: at minimum, hospitality experience, with an understanding of what exceptional service involves.
