Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in daily bakery operations, producing a wide range of savoury and sweet products, whilst ensuring the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods, including savouries, pastries, and cakes.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety standards.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, and other baking tools.
Help with packaging finished products for sale or delivery.
Ensure all ingredients and supplies are stocked and stored correctly.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or bakery environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
Experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is beneficial.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A keen interest in culinary arts, baking, and food production.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if necessary.

This role is ideal for motivated individuals with a passion for food and eager to expand their culinary expertise within a friendly bakery setting.

Pay: £12.85 per hour
