About the Role:
ARU Writtle is looking to recruit an experienced Learning Support Team Leader with a passion for ensuring that students with additional learning needs receive the best possible support to equip them with the skills required to achieve, succeed, and become independent learners.
You will lead a highly dedicated Learning Support team in planning, delivering, supervising, and monitoring high-quality additional learning and study support services for Further Education students. A key part of the role involves ensuring effective systems are in place to identify needs, implement support, and continuously improve outcomes for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
You will take responsibility for high needs funding, EHCP processes, and associated funding claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust record-keeping. The role also includes budget management, contribution to quality improvement activity, and supporting inspection readiness and wider organisational development. You will monitor changes in funding and policy to help inform future strategy and service development.
Working within a post-16 education setting, you will bring proven experience of supporting, assessing, or managing learners with additional needs, ideally at supervisory level within Further Education. You will hold a degree or equivalent relevant qualification, or be part-qualified with substantial relevant experience, alongside evidence of ongoing professional development.
This is a key role within ARU Writtle, offering the opportunity to shape and enhance inclusive learning support and make a meaningful impact on FE student success.
