Due to our continuing growth plans, we are looking to recruit additional Salt Operatives at our site in Goldhanger, Essex.
About the role:
- Responsible for completing routine maintenance, undertaking repairs and tackling a range of other practical tasks
- Point of contact for basic and routine maintenance tasks across the entire business
- Provide hands on support to assist Engineers when required
Responsibilities:
- Plumbing – To resolve basic plumbing issues across the business
- Decorating - Painting walls and ceilings, doors and door frames and other cosmetics across the business
- Repairs and Maintenance – Carry out repairs on doors and cladding. Installing various fixtures and fittings
- Outside Works – Some outside works such as guttering repairs and some landscaping duties
- Tiling and some carpentry work
- General upkeep of site buildings and yard areas.
- Other facility maintenance duties
- Support to Multi-Skilled Engineers when required
- Any other reasonable duties as requested
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Familiar with general maintenance tasks
- Familiar with skills such as plumbing, painting, tiling, carpentry etc
- Able to work effciently and safely either alone or as part of a team
- Basic food hygeine
- Effective verbal and written skills

Qualifications:
- This role requires regular travel between multiple sites, including locations not accessible by public transport. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.
- Experience in a Handyman or Facilities Technician role is essential or advantageous
Working Hours & Location
- 23.25 hours per week, ideally worked over 3 days per week. with a 15-minute paid, and 30-minute unpaid break per day, however we can offer a flexible working pattern.

Salary & Reward Package
- £22,000 per annum (actual salary, pro rata to 3 working days per week). Paid monthly. Paid overtime
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata)
- 1 week company sick pay after successful probationary period, increasing to 3-weeks Company Sick Pay (after 12 months service)
