Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Body Shop Technician to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for vehicle repair and restoration, with a strong focus on quality workmanship. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the repair and refurbishment of vehicles to the highest standards. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who are committed to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct vehicle repairs including panel straightening, dent removal, and component replacement
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs with precision
Perform bodywork refinishing, including sanding, priming, and painting preparation
Assist with vehicle disassembly and reassembly as required
Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to complete jobs within designated timeframes
Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate techniques and equipment

Requirements

Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician or similar role within the automotive repair industry
Mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and components
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for bodywork repairs
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often moving vehicle parts or equipment weighing up to 25kg or more
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive body repair are desirable but not essential
A valid driver’s licence is preferred but not mandatory
