Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fencer/Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to engage in various construction tasks. This role is essential for ensuring that fencing and groundwork is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You will work on domestic projects, throughout the North West but generally will be working on our domestic gardens, groundwork and fencing contract within Wythenshawe.
This position is working predominantly on a contract in Wythenshawe clearing gardens, installing pathways, performing drainage works, installing waneylap fencing, timber palisade fencing and timber gates for a local housing association. Most work will be within the M22 area and will include works on both tenanted and void properties.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Perform domestic landscaping and groundwork tasks.
- Installation of domestic drainage and groundwork related to extensions.
- Install all types of fencing in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage your workload and be able to use our job management system to update tasks.
- Engage with customers in a polite and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless workflow on-site, maintaining clear communication at all times.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Experience
- Proven experience in groundwork, fencing or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and machine driving ability is highly desirable.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques within the construction industry is essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.

Pay: £33,600.00-£36,000.00 per year
