About the role

We're looking for a highly adaptable Senior Business Officer to become one of the Registration Service's most flexible team members.

This isn't a traditional office role. One day you could be registering births and deaths, the next conducting a marriage ceremony, producing certificates, preparing legal paperwork or supporting colleagues wherever the service needs you most. Every day is different, but every day you'll be making a real difference to the people of Cambridgeshire.

You'll be joining a team that's proud of the culture we've created. We believe in One Service - working together, supporting one another and always being willing to lend a hand. We know that the best service for our customers starts with looking after each other, sharing knowledge and creating an environment where everyone feels valued, supported and encouraged to develop.

What will you be doing?

No two days will look the same, but you could find yourself:

Registering births and deaths.
Conducting marriage and civil partnership ceremonies.
Producing certificates and dealing with urgent requests.
Preparing legal paperwork for ceremonies.
Supporting the administration team with operational work.
Covering colleagues at short notice across our offices.
Travelling between Cambridge, Huntingdon and Ely as service needs require.
Supporting customers through some of the most significant moments of their lives.
Learning every aspect of the Registration Service so you can confidently help wherever you're needed.
