Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our production processes. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and those seeking to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC machines according to engineering specifications and work orders
Operate CNC equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to ensure precision and quality
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery
Inspect finished products to verify dimensions and quality standards are met
Record production data accurately and maintain detailed logs of machine activity
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimise manufacturing processes
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM software
Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively
Attention to detail with a focus on producing precise, high-quality components
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to machine operation
Nice-to-have: experience with different types of CNC machines such as milling or turning centres; familiarity with programming languages like G-code or M-code; relevant technical qualifications or certifications

Pay: £39,180.00-£53,740.00 per year
