Job description

We are currently looking for a full-time legal support worker to assist our busy and expanding road traffic law firm in Newton Abbot. Previous experience within the legal sector or similar role is advantageous but not essential.

As a legal support worker, you will be responsible for delivering support to the Case Progression Officers and other members within your team and an outstanding service to our clients. Our legal support workers work closely with fee earners and have a hands-on role and help with the progression of cases. If you’re bored of constant typing and basic admin tasks, this would be the ideal role for you! We also provide excellent opportunities for career progression.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, have a professional telephone manner, accurate word-processing and typing skills as well as being able to work efficiently within a team and being proficient in IT and Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Talking to both existing and new clients and dealing with calls accordingly.
Providing support to Case Progression Officers to include administration tasks, filing, arranging appointments, corresponding with clients and other external organisations.
Working hands-on with cases and clients – speaking to Barristers, Magistrates' Court, Crown Prosecution Service and the Police.

Full training and support will be provided
