Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and possess the necessary skills to maintain and enhance various landscapes. This role involves a combination of physical labour, technical knowledge, and creativity to ensure that gardens and grounds are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Irrigate gardens and landscapes effectively to promote healthy plant growth.
- Build and construct landscape features such as patios, pathways, and flower beds.
- Dig and prepare soil for planting, ensuring proper conditions for plant health.
- Maintain equipment by using power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify issues or areas needing attention.
- Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects in a timely manner.
- Provide groundskeeping services to ensure all outdoor areas are clean and presentable.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to operate various landscaping equipment effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques and plant care is advantageous.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads as required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting equipment between job sites.
