Job Title: Apprentice Dental Nurse
Location: Boroughbridge Dental Centre, North Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time (Learning on the job + dedicated study time)
Ever wondered what actually happens behind the scenes at the dentist? We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, eagle-eyed Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our friendly team in Boroughbridge. We are a predominantly private 8 surgery practice, with a large team of 7 dentists, 6 therapists and 11 dental nurses all here to help you learn and thrive.
You don’t need a background in teeth to apply—we will teach you absolutely everything you need to know. If you have great people skills, a positive attitude, and don't mind a bit of multi-tasking, you’re already halfway there. Plus, you’ll earn a real wage while earning a fully recognized Level 3 Qualification.
Your Day-to-Day
As our apprentice, you won't just be watching from the sidelines. You'll be right in the center of the action:
- The Ultimate Assistant: Working side-by-side with our dentists, passing instruments like a surgical pro, and mixing materials
- The Comfort Provider: Chatting with patients, making them smile, and helping nervous visitors feel completely at ease.
- The Cleanliness Champion: Keeping the surgery sparkling clean, sterile, and safe. You’ll become an expert in infection control.
- The Tech Coordinator: Helping to update patient records, prep digital X-rays, and keep the surgery running like a well-oiled machine.

You don't need a CV packed with dental experience, but you do need:
