Autothentic is an established independent prestige and performance vehicle specialist based near York. We pride ourselves on doing things properly, preparing every vehicle to the highest standards and delivering an exceptional customer experience. With around 60-70 carefully selected prestige vehicles in stock and our own dedicated workshop and preparation centre, we've built a reputation for quality rather than volume.
Quality is at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician who shares that same attention to detail and pride in their work.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, experienced workshop team, working on an impressive selection of vehicles including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Aston Martin, Bentley, McLaren and Land Rover, alongside other premium manufacturers.

Duties & Role Expectations
As part of our workshop team, you'll play a key role in ensuring every vehicle meets the exacting standards we set.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Completing comprehensive vehicle health checks and inspections.
- Performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on retail vehicles.
- Preparing prestige and performance vehicles to an exceptional retail standard.
- Completing MOT preparation and associated repair work.
- Maintaining accurate workshop records and job documentation.
- Identifying any additional work required and communicating findings clearly.
- Working efficiently whilst maintaining the highest levels of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Supporting colleagues and contributing positively within a small, close-knit team.
Experience & QualificationsEssential
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Minimum 3 years' workshop experience.
- Previous experience within a main dealer or prestige independent workshop.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
- Confident carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance independently.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge across a broad range of vehicle systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Reliable & proffessional, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable
- MOT Tester qualification.
- Experience working on prestige, luxury or high-performance vehicles.
- EV/Hybrid qualifications or experience.
- Experience using manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment.
Salary & Benefits
- £30,000 - £40,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
- Monthly team bonus based on overall dealership performance
- Monday-Friday working only (9:00am-5:00pm)
- No compulsary weekend working
