We are seeking an Insolvency Lawyer to join our growing Insolvency Litigation team, part of our wider market-leading Recoveries group. Our Recoveries team is one of the largest in the UK, with over 95 fee earners, and is Tier 1 ranked by The Legal 500 for Debt Recovery in the East Midlands. Within this, our Insolvency team is Tier 3 ranked in Yorkshire for Insolvency and Corporate Recovery, reflecting the strength of our expertise and reputation across the region.
We act for a wide range of clients including national insolvency practitioners, blue-chip companies, local authorities and commercial organisations, delivering high-quality work across both regional and national matters.
The team is primarily based in Grimsby and Hull, working with a national client base, and we are able to offer flexibility on location.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop or further specialise in insolvency litigation within a well-established, supportive and growing team.
The Role:
You will work on a broad range of insolvency matters, with a strong focus on litigation, while also gaining exposure to non-contentious work. The role offers high-quality work, strong client relationships and the opportunity to build your expertise within a recognised and expanding team.
Key Responsibilities:

Managing a varied caseload of insolvency litigation matters from instruction through to resolution

Handling personal insolvency matters including possession and sale applications, annulments and statutory demand disputes

Managing corporate insolvency matters such as director claims, winding-up petitions, validation orders and antecedent transactions

Providing insolvency litigation support to in-house insolvency practitioners and other teams

Advising on non-contentious matters including administration applications, phoenix company advice and pre-pack transactions

Drafting clear and accurate legal documentation, including applications, pleadings and correspondence

Delivering practical and commercial advice to clients in a timely and professional manner

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Contributing to team targets and wider business development activity
