Overview
I am currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Painter and Decorator.

This position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the residential and commercial painting and decorating industry.

The role is ideal for those interested in developing practical skills and pursuing a career in the trade. The successful applicant must have a desire to learn and a passion for high quality painting and decorating work.

Responsibilities

Assisting experienced painters and decorators with preparation and application of paint, varnish, and other finishes on various surfaces.
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure a smooth finish.
Learning to operate basic painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Supporting the organisation of materials and tools on-site to ensure efficient workflow.
Following health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Communicating effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.
Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout each project.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of English language skills for effective communication on-site.
Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Valid driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
Interest in construction painting, decorating, or related trades is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Reliable, punctual, organised, and eager to learn new skills.
No prior experience necessary; full training will be offered to develop core competencies in painting and decorating techniques. This role provides an excellent foundation for individuals looking to build a career in the trades, offering an insight into the day to day running of a self employed work life.

Pay: From £80.00 per day
