Henshaws is a northern charity supporting people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to go beyond expectations. We believe that, wherever they are, everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support, advice and training enables people and their families build skills, develop confidence, help each other and look forward to a more positive future.
The Student Liaison Lead plays a key role in championing student voice, engagement and wellbeing across the college. The postholder will lead the development and delivery of student parliament and enrichment initiatives, ensuring learners have meaningful opportunities to influence their experience and contribute to college life.
You will support students to build confidence, independence and resilience, while providing guidance on wellbeing, inclusion and communication. The role also includes line management responsibility for the Accessible Information Officer and oversight of inclusive communication practices across the organisation.
Working closely with curriculum and multidisciplinary teams, you will gather and act on student feedback, contribute to quality assurance processes, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, accessibility and Ofsted/CQC expectation
