Overview
We are seeking a highly responsible and vigilant Security Supervisor to oversee security operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in surveillance and loss prevention. This role is vital in maintaining a safe environment for staff, visitors, and assets, ensuring all security protocols are effectively implemented and adhered to. The position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated security team and contribute to the organisation’s safety standards.

Duties

Supervise daily security operations across the premises, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) continuously to identify suspicious activity or security breaches
Coordinate and oversee security personnel, assigning patrol routes and responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential risks or vulnerabilities
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft, vandalism, or unauthorised access
Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid
Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate findings to senior management
Organise training sessions for security staff on emergency response procedures and surveillance techniques
Ensure that all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions promptly

Qualifications

Proven experience in security supervision or management roles
Strong knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention methods
Valid first aid certification is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising a team of security personnel
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
A recognised security qualification or relevant industry training is preferred
