THE ROLE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers for our sites across Central Scotland. The successful candidates should be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well as part of a team in a busy site environment.

Our HGV drivers are an integral part of our team, delivering our product to our customers and internally across our sites.

Class 2 Mixer

- Tams Loup, Lanarkshire ML7 5TN
- Tulliallan, Clackmannanshire FK10 4DT
- Longyester, East Lothian EH41 4PL

We also offer job security and regular overtime paid at an enhanced rate:

Standard rate £15.56
Monday-Friday – time and a half after 8 hours £23.34
Saturday – time and a half for the first 6 hours then double time
Sunday – double time £31.12
Plus weekly load bonus for mixer drivers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out the delivery and collection of products to customer sites while maintaining company high standards of Health and Safety at all times
Maintain the company vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness to represent the company at all times
Comply with the WTD and EU driving rules to ensure full compliance is achieved with no infringements
Ensure HGV licence and CPC cards are up to date and valid
Asphalt delivery
Concrete delivery
Recycled products
Internal stock delivery/transfer
Ensure vehicle is clean, safe and legally roadworthy
Defect reporting
Manage drivers hours on tachograph
Legally compliant breaks

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

Valid HGV license with CPC card.
Experience driving mixers and tippers would be beneficial.
Experience working with digital tachographs.
Strong awareness of Driver Regulations specifically relating to Driver Hours & Working Time Regulations.
A keen interest and commitment to Health and Safety, and Environmental matters.
A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business when required including alternate weekends.
