About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining full ownership of operations, sales, and client relationship management, playing a critical part in scaling Vislock’s platform and delivering long-term value to clients across the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The Technical Operations Manager will be responsible for positioning Vislock as the leading and most trusted solution for service protection, permit-to-dig systems, and survey data management. This includes driving the company’s growth strategy, expanding market presence, and ensuring Vislock becomes the first choice for contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders requiring accurate, reliable, and real-time data to support safe excavation and infrastructure delivery.

The role requires a strong commercial mindset, with direct accountability for revenue generation, business

development, and client retention. The successful candidate will lead the integration of operational excellence with sales performance, ensuring that the delivery of Vislock’s platform consistently exceeds client expectations while supporting scalable growth.

Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients, the Technical Operations Manager will build strategic partnerships, oversee major accounts, and ensure that Vislock is recognised not only for its technology, but also for its service quality, responsiveness, and industry expertise.

A key focus of the role is to drive innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring that Vislock remains at the forefront of digital solutions for service protection and survey data requirements. This includes working closely with internal teams to enhance platform capabilities, improve usability, and align services with evolving industry needs.

Ultimately, this role is central to establishing Vislock as the number one company to go to for service protection, digital permit solutions, and all survey data requirements, delivering safer, more efficient, and fully transparent project environments for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational and commercial strategies aligned with company objectives
Drive business growth through a strong focus on sales and market expansion
Work closely with senior leadership to scale the business
Strong leadership abilities
A Fair but strong leadership approach with set time frames for conclusion of actions
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders, clients, Head Office, departmental
Coaching and mentoring future leaders and potentially looking at professional recognition.

Operations Management

Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient service delivery
Manage the implementation and onboarding of the Vislock platform for new clients
Ensure high standards of quality, and compliance
Collaborate with technical teams to improve platform capability performance
Engage closely with clients to understand requirements, gather feedback, and translate business needs into clear product inputs
Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring items are well-defined, prioritised, and aligned with business and client objectives

Sales

Support and drive the sales function, with accountability for revenue growth
Support and execute sales strategies to increase platform adoption
Identify and secure new business opportunities within construction and infrastructure sectors

Client Management (Primary Point of Contact)

Act as the main point of contact for key clients and stakeholders
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business
Identify opportunities for upselling and expanding client accounts

Performance Management

Track and report on KPIs across operations and sales
Use data insights to drive continuous improvement and profitability
Align operational delivery with commercial objectives

Team Leadership

Lead and develop cross-functional teams across operations, sales, and customer success
Foster a high-performance, commercially focused culture
Support recruitment and team growth
Support the training and development of and new operational staff
Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable processes
Drive continuous improvement across operations and client delivery
Work with Technical Department ensure compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality) standards.

Skills and Experience

Strong background in operations leadership with direct responsibility for sales
Proven track record of revenue growth and business development
Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
Commercially driven with strong negotiation ability
Experience in construction, infrastructure, or SaaS environments (preferred)
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities

Pay: £50,798.53-£80,544.71 per year
