BUSINESS FUNCTION: FINANCE

GRADE: ML1/SB1

SALARY: £34,060 to £40,000 per annum

ROLE TYPE: Hybrid

HOURS: 37 per week

This role is all about driving high-impact projects, from internal changes to cross-functional initiatives. You’ll be the key player ensuring systems and applications meet business needs through thorough, high-quality testing and clear documentation.

Your work will make sure everything is fit for purpose before going live, following best practices to maintain quality, governance, and business alignment. With your expertise, you'll apply a robust, analytical approach to ensure every requirement is captured and tested.

Key responsibilities:

Align with IT service design, strategy, and project management standards
Use analytical skills to define test scenarios, predict outcomes, and investigate differences
Deliver high-quality test outputs on time and within budget
Understand system interfaces maintaining realistic test environments
Provide forecasting and estimation metrics throughout projects
Handover, warranty support, and root cause analysis
Guide on best practices for test planning and execution
Ensure adherence to processes, with all test artifacts aligning to the overall strategy
Collaborate with teams for effective defect and problem management
Ensure testing is completed with zero critical defects for a smooth go-live

About you:

You need hands-on experience as a Test Analyst, working closely with developers, product specialists, BAs, and PMs.

We're looking for someone skilled in agile project management—planning, estimating, and handling issues and risks. You'll be testing complex applications with multiple interfaces and APIs, so confidence in presenting results to senior stakeholders is key. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, industry standards, and tools is a must.

You’ll also need experience with:

Proficient in Gherkin Syntax
Report using Azure DevOps, Java or similar tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Agile training/qualifications in Scrum, Kanban, and Test-Driven Development
