MP Filtri is an engineering product manufacturer and distributor based in Evesham, in a state of the art facility. Due to growth we are currently looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our busy purchasing department. The role will support transactional purchasing activities and take ownership of indirect procurement across the business.
Duties and responsibilities for the Purchasing Assistant are:
- Raise and process purchase orders for direct and indirect requirements. We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 for this.
- Monitor supplier deliveries, chase overdue orders and follow up supplier acknowledgements.
- Manage and support indirect procurement activities across ICT hardware, software and licences, office and facilities suppliers, PPE, workwear and general consumables.
- Maintain supplier records and ensure accurate ERP data.
- Support supplier communication and resolution of routine purchasing issues.
- Assist with KPI reporting, data entry and purchasing administration.
- Provide general admin support to the purchasing team.
The Person:
The Purchasing Assistant will have:
- Previous purchasing, logistics or supply chain experience in a busy environment.
- Ideally experience in manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills; both verbally and written.
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Previous ERP experience; if you have Microsoft Dynamics 365 that is a bonus!
- Excellent Excel skills are important! Along with general IT skills.
