Inspire Futures. Build Confidence. Open Doors.
Do you believe every learner deserves the confidence, skills and ambition to achieve their career goals?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Careers Learning Journey Facilitator to help students and adult learners discover where their studies can take them, and give them the tools they need to get there.
This is more than teaching employability skills. It's about helping people unlock their potential, broaden their horizons and take confident steps toward a successful future.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Careers Learning Journey Facilitator, you'll design and deliver an exciting Employment Readiness Programme that prepares learners for:
- Work experience opportunities
- Apprenticeships
- Further study and training
- Sustainable employment and career progression
Through interactive workshops, practical activities and real-world career exploration, you'll help learners develop the confidence, behaviours and skills that employers value most.
You'll bring careers to life by helping learners understand the connection between what they're studying today and the opportunities available tomorrow.
No Industry Specialism? No Problem!
You don't need to be an expert in every career sector.
Whether it's Health, Technology, Construction, Creative Industries, Sport, Digital, Business or the Service Sector, your role will be to facilitate engaging learning experiences that spark curiosity, raise aspirations and build career awareness.
We're looking for someone who can inspire, motivate and connect, not necessarily someone with a specialist background in a particular industry.
What Makes This Role Special?
Every day is different. One moment you could be leading a workshop on interview confidence, and the next helping learners explore career pathways they never knew existed.
You'll play a key role in:
- Raising aspirations
- Widening participation
- Developing confidence and resilience
- Improving employability skills
- Supporting positive progression outcomes
Most importantly, you'll help learners see what is possible and empower them to achieve it.
Why Join Us?
At South Devon College, we're committed to helping every learner succeed. You'll be part of a supportive team that shares a passion for Aspiration, Inclusion and Respect, and you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference every single day.
If you're ready to help learners discover their future, develop their potential and take the next step towards their dream career, we'd love to hear from you.
If your idea of a good day is inspiring ambition, building confidence and helping learners unlock their future, then this role might have your name written all over it.
Don't just talk about career journeys, help create them. Apply now!
