To provide administrative support for the delivery of controlled assessments relating to Open Awards qualifications and Apprenticeship Assessment (previously End-point assessment), ensuring activities are delivered efficiently, accurately and in accordance with Open Awards policies and regulatory requirements.
The postholder will coordinate assessment administration activities, maintain accurate records, support contractors, Providers and employers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment delivery processes and customer service standards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssessment Administration1. Support the administration of assessment activities by:
· Processing assessment bookings, registrations and scheduling activities.
· Processing remote invigilation and apprenticeship assessment arrangements.
· Maintaining assessment schedules and contractor allocations
· Liaising with Providers, employers, learners, contractors and colleagues regarding assessment arrangements.
· Supporting the organisation and preparation of standardisation, training and awarding activities.
· Assisting with results processing and release activities.
· Resolving routine operational issues and escalating complex matters appropriately.
· Undertaking general administrative activities to support assessment delivery.
Assessment Processes and Compliance2. Support the effective operation of assessment delivery processes by:
· Following and maintaining established assessment delivery procedures.
· Contributing to the review and improvement of operational processes.
· Ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements and Open Awards policies.
· Assisting colleagues, providers, employers and contractors to understand and comply with assessment requirements.
· Identifying potential process improvements and reporting recommendations to relevant managers.
· Monitor service activities by providing administrative information to support operational planning.
Data Management and Reporting4. Support performance monitoring activities by:
· Collecting and collating assessment delivery data.
· Producing routine reports on assessment activity and service performance.
· Recording customer feedback and assessment delivery incidents.
5. Maintain accurate assessment records by:
· Ensuring qualification and assessment records are accurate and up to date on Open Awards systems.
· Undertaking regular data checking and validation activities.
· Supporting audits and reviews of assessment data as required.
Guidance, Training and Communications6. Support the maintenance of assessment guidance by:
· Assisting with the review of published guidance and documentation.
· Identifying information requiring updating or clarification.
· Supporting the development and dissemination of guidance materials.
7. Support assessment communications by:
· Working with colleagues to coordinate assessment communications and updates.
· Assisting with the preparation and distribution of guidance and training materials.
8. Coordinate assessment training and standardisation activities by:
· Processing bookings and registrations.
· Providing access to online events and training sessions.
· Monitoring attendance and completion of pre-event requirements.
· Collecting and reporting participant feedback.
· Maintaining records relating to training and standardisation events.
Stakeholder Support9. Build effective working relationships by:
· Providing a professional and responsive service to customers and stakeholders.
· Supporting Providers, employers, contractors and learners with assessment-related enquiries.
· Working collaboratively with colleagues across Open Awards to ensure effective service delivery.

12. Maintain accurate records of activities in Open Awards systems in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
