About the Role
As a Junior / Assistant Block Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of a varied portfolio of residential developments, working closely with senior staff and gaining valuable hands-on experience.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team with access to training and professional development, including industry-recognised qualifications.
The role requires regular site visits, so access to your own vehicle is essential (mileage allowance provided).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing a medium-sized residential portfolio under the guidance of senior staff
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify maintenance issues, and coordinate remedial works
- Liaise with directors, residents, contractors, and other stakeholders, responding to queries professionally and efficiently
- Attend Directors’ meetings, AGMs, and EGMs, including meeting preparation and minute-taking
- Review block finances and support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare annual service charge budgets and planned maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and legal requirements
- Support major works projects and monitor contractor performance
- Assist with Section 20 consultation procedures and documentation
- Work closely with internal teams including accounts, administration, and assistants
- Handle LPE1 enquiries and post-completion documentation
About You

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in block management, property management, or a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and solution-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- A team player who enjoys working in a supportive office environment
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable (Training Provided)
- Knowledge of leasehold legislation
- Understanding of Section 20 procedures
- Awareness of fire safety and health & safety compliance
