Working within the FM industry, of course no two days are ever the same, however depending on the organisation the role you take up can become monotonous - certainly not the case with 14forty FM! Job variation, numerous development opportunities (I have not experianced a more varied and dedicated learning and development team anywhere else) and a management structure that is interested in your progression and providing the platform in which to grow with the business. Amazing company benefits - of which are available to all levels of employment - is second to none. One of the best elements of working for 14forty FM is the opportunity for your voice to be heard through the various operational excellence initiatives. From frontline staff to managerial level, we all have the opportunity to provide input into how processes and systems can be improved and strengthened and feedback on suggestions always provided back from Senior Levels. This makes us all feel valued and truly part of wider team. I would not hesitate in recommending 14forty to prospective employees and would highly reccommend potential candidates to seriously consider applying for vacancies from 14forty and the wider Compass Group organisations.

The company has job security without a doubt. Progression is nearly impossible as the to progress someone else must and this didnt ever seem to happen. Additional training was promised and looked into but never followed through.

Approaching the intake of a new contract within the company, Never enough details are received and from my time within the company it was difficult to do the tasks at hand without any details on who to contact.

The company takes on several additional jobs/tasks with no concern of staff workloads without charging the other companies for it. The mistakes of other companies are also regularly covered up.

The environment between staff is mostly friendly. Great to have a laugh.

Uniform is terrible and fits awfully. (This is difficult to get a hold of mind)

Company also ''adjust'' figures to tidy the negative response times.

I left the company as i felt it became a trap without a step to move. With all this said the people are great (Minus the false promises of training) The work is very easy, But the wage is poor for the quantity and the day to day rubbish to deal with from the clients and contractors.

I had an overall positive experience working here. My line manager was lovely and supportive, and overtime rates were very good. I enjoyed the role itself and the independence it offered.

The main area for improvement would be communication from head office. I was contacted about signing in and out using the OurTime app, but when I tried to reach out for clarification, I didn’t receive a response. I also experienced some issues around pay and training where the standard response was to speak to my line manager, which could be frustrating when the query related to head office systems.

I ultimately left due to logistics and personal preference for fully working alone, rather than any major issues with the company. I would be happy to work for the company again in the future.



I have been Working for this company as a security officer for a year, and me and my collages, we did not have more than TWO correct payslips in the whole year. Despite the fact that you booking on and off shifts by calling an automated line they still manage to constantly mess up my payslip. Hundreds of pounds missing from payslips is just normal. Then you have to send countless emails explaining why the payslip is wrong and why they owe you money. If you are lucky they send a fraction of it as an advanced payment which they deduct from you next payslip, often forgetting to balance it out correctly. Honestly, never have I worked for the worst company as 14Forty. The amount of stress and incompetent people you will go through will drive crazy. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Unless you are really desperate or have enough money to go by while you waiting for your payslip to be sorted.

This workplace suffers from a deeply toxic culture driven by poor management and unrealistic expectations.

 The workload is overwhelmingly heavy, with no support systems in place, creating a mentally unsafe environment that takes a serious toll on well-being.

 The only real benefit is the permanent contract, which offers stability but comes at a high personal cost. 

Communication is lacking, morale is low, and there’s zero focus on employee health or work-life balance.If you value your mental health, look elsewhere. The permanent role isn’t worth the burnout.


blatant favoritism, and triangulation tactics that pit colleagues against each other - HR Is Silent on reports (often go silent and no further) or grievances made when no support systems are in place. 

Overall Rating 2/10 for The Job, Wouldn't recommend at all if you value your mental health. 




I started working here under Serco, the atmosphere and working environment was excellent. The people were friendly and the manager was very approachable, The daily routing was varied to suit individual needs, this made it a great place to work. Serco lost the contract and it went to 14forty, the job was never the same. The routing changed as they could not supply the same standard of service, this was due to financial restraints in order to try and increase profit margins. The new managers were not as approachable, and unfortunately the standard of service supplied was not as good as before.
This was the reason for my leaving, if all stayed the same I would still be there.

National role within G E, implementation and change along with  selling the brand.
Main focus is the site FM Managers to adapt to new processess and change and any key challenges they may face.
Been in the FM industry for a long time and have depth of knowledge as a contractor and also working direct for the company
Support the Regional Managers in there day to day roles and report directectly into the Account Director
I love challenges which are set and also the responsibility of making change.

Worked here for two years. It's a good job at the transport gatehouse but a bit boring at carpark gatehouse.
Minimum wage , 6 days of 12 hour shifts can be very tiring. Supervisor constantly annoying you on day off to do extras shifts at short notice often so he can get a extra day off. 
3 officers on shift you will be okay if you get the right people to work with on your team.Some of team are not the best to work with so best to just talk work related subjects and keep your private life private.
Some officers talking about other officers behind back and bullying can happen if your face doesn't fit.
Beware of the two sisters who work on the site.

14forty Compass Group Farnborough - poor management, they treat their employees as trash. Extremely stressful and unprofessional managers, I needed to get anti depressants from the doctor. They take advantage of you, they talk to you in a rude manner and if you point out an issue they laugh in your face. If they see you stressed out, they tell you off because you shouldn't be "grumpy", but they NEVER try to listen or to ask you what the matter is. They just make people miserable. It's just impossible to explain all the bad things going on there. I'm so sorry for the people that are still working there. The management should get fired and get new managers from scratch.

This company is extremely bad, I have worked on the security industry for over 19 years in various roles and various places in the country and this company is by far the worst in the country the management are very unprofessional, they no time for employees, the pay is always wrong not by just a shift or two, but by hundreds of pounds, I would not recommend that anyone even considers to work for this company, you not respected , they not security company, they consontrate on there catering side more than there security or there cleaning side of business
