What is the best part of working at the company?
The holiday are really great and the wellbeing and health schemes are good

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The workplace is extremely toxic , middle management put so much pressure on you that you burn out and have mental breakdowns

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, it was by far the worst work environment I have ever experienced 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Overworked and stressed out from start to finish, it’s no wonder the company has such a good well being package, they really push your mental health to the edge

As with Amazon reviews, you'll always have both ends of the scale (and the odd bitter miffed person), but ACT is a great place to work.

All companies have things they want to improve and ACT focusses on making these things happen and regularly celebrates the success of its learners and staff. 59th Best Company and IIP Gold, can't be all doom and gloom can it.

Company cars, mobiles, laptops and significant investment in centres/infrastructure. Try finding many other training providers like that!

Terrible company to work for. Most of the money is spent on fancy managers salary and company cars. The management is incapable of making any decisions and lacks and kind of leadership. The trainees constantly suffer because of poor resources and equipment.

The Welsh government should know that this company is draining them dry for very little outcomes and learners are suffering because of it.

Huge turnover of staff should tell you everything you need to kmow.

I would contact employers, send e-mails, attend meetings, I have gained good telephone manners. I have gained confidence and communication skills since I have been with ACT. I have learnt to be more forward thinking. I have gained I.T skills and valuable people skills. The people I worked with were very friendly and helpful, the most enjoyable part of the job was helping people into employment and attending jobs fairs.

The schools provision is a great place to work as it gives learners who have previosuly been kicked out of school the chance to start again and gain the qualifications they may never have been able to within main stream. You get a real sense of achievement at the end of the academic year when year 11 students come back to collect there GCSE results as you know you have done a real good job.

The company has a clear mission and a great culture. Staff benefits and work life balance are excellent. Managers are supportive and the organisation is very collaborative and forward thinking. There are excellent development opportunities for staff at all levels. 

A refreshing culture and homely feel considering the large number of staff. The business is well organised, professional and the ethos is great; delivering training to teens and young adults who often have struggled in mainstream schools

Senior leadership here is very good, however this hasn’t carried through to middle management level.

The company has the potential to be great, however no repercussions for managers for treating their teams poorly has unfortunately left a lot to be desired. 

We lost a member of staff in our team almost every single month, everyone explained their situation at exit interviews, yet nothing changed. 

A good company to work for and very friendly staff which make you feel like part of a family.  Good packages with eye sight and dental help.  Have bonuses at Xmas , New Year and your birthday by way of a gift card.

A really supportive place to work with opportunities to grow and learn. There’s a good team spirit. The work can be busy at times, but you feel valued and encouraged to develop. Training and support are strong, and there’s a genuine focus on people, not just results
